About Shibaura Machine
Shibaura Machine, formerly known as Toshiba Machine, has been dedicating itself to strengthening their position within the European market since 2019.
In order to accomplish this, it has opened a new branch in Milan in late 2019, with a staff of 8 and a larger number of stock machines already located in Europe, which enables them to offer shorter delivery times if necessary.

In order to serve Europe in a more efficient way, Shibaura Machine expanded under the name Shibaura Machine Europe, opening a second European branch in Milan in late 2019. Through this, they expect to improve their ability to tend to mainland Europe than they were previously able to from the United Kingdom. Mr. Kazz Takamura, who was appointed CEO, has roots that are deeply embedded within the Shibaura Machine company history. In his previous position as CEO for Toshiba America, he lead Shibaura to occupy an exceptionally large share of the market. Mr. Takamura has now been given the opportunity to assemble a new team in Milan, consisting of employees who all have years of experience within the electric injection moulding industry, ranging from commerce to service and parts supply. Koot Automation & Service is extremely delighted about these developments, and fully expect that they will contribute to a growth in Shibaura Machine’s European market share.
Future of Shibaura Machine, formerly known as Toshiba Machine
Toshiba Machine Co., Ltd. have altered their name to Shibaura Machine Co., Ltd. on 1 April 2020. Shibaura Machine was the original name that the company was given when it started its production of injection moulding machines in 1955. As ‘Monozukuri’ (manufacturing) is deeply embedded into Shibaura Machine’s DNA, the reestablishment of its original name proves that the company has not forgotten its rich heritage. For clients, the company’s name alteration will not result in any changes, other than the benefit of Shibaura Machine finally being able to regain and strengthen its original DNA.
In order to achieve additional growth, Shibaura Machine is changing the way they think and ensuring they continue to stay up to date when it comes to their operations.
